linda: how many children do you have & what does motherhood mean to you?
I have three beautiful daughters who are each unique and wonderful in their own way. Alexandra is 35 and lives in Milan. Emma is 33 and lives in Sydney. Grace is 31, also based in Sydney. Each of them has followed their own path in life, and I couldn’t be prouder of the strong, kind, inspiring women they’ve become.
Motherhood has been the most wonderful and rewarding part of my life. It’s a role that constantly evolves—as my children grow, so do I. Being a mum has brought me purpose, laughter, love, and of course, moments of worry. Learning to step back and let your children find their own way is one of the hardest and most beautiful parts of the journey. To me, being a mum means showing up, loving unconditionally, and being that safe place, they can always come back to, no matter how old they are.
Now that my daughters are grown, our relationship has evolved into something really special. We’re friends as well as family, and I treasure that more than anything.

GRACE: What are you looking forward to this Mother’s Day?
We live in different cities—Mum’s on the Gold Coast and I’m in Sydney. Unfortunately, we won’t be together for Mother’s Day, but my sisters and I try to make it as special as we can with a card, a gift, and a video call to celebrate. We did recently spend the Easter long weekend together, which was so special.
Linda: If you could borrow one item from Grace’s wardrobe, what would it be & why?
If I could borrow one thing, it would definitely be one of her beautiful bags. Grace has such a great eye for detail when it comes to accessories, and I’ve got my eye on one of her chic little crossbody bags. It’s stylish, practical, and adds the perfect finishing touch to any outfit.
Grace: How's your fashion style different from your mum's & what's similar?
Mum’s style is classic and elegant. She loves timeless pieces, neutral tones, and always looks effortlessly put together. Years ago, I would’ve described my style as a bit more bohemian, but as I’ve gotten older, I’d like to think I’ve followed Mum’s lead—investing in classic, quality pieces that last for years, look chic, and feel comfortable to wear.
LINDA: What is something unique that you & Grace share in your relationship?
We always have a lot of fun and laughter, which keeps things light and joyful. Each of us has our strengths, and we support one another whenever we can. When we’re working on social media content, we share ideas—Grace brings a fresh, modern perspective, while I gravitate toward timeless, classic style. It’s a lovely balance that shows our audience how fashion can work across generations. It’s a beautiful dynamic built on respect, fun, and shared inspiration.
GRACE: Can you share a special memory you have with your mum over the years?
There are so many moments to choose from. Of course, the big ones come to mind—birthdays, Christmases, athletics or modelling competitions, my wedding day. While those are special memories, it’s the smaller, everyday moments where Mum truly nurtured our relationship. She was always so present when we were growing up. Some of my most cherished memories are coming home from school to find she’d made pikelets for afternoon tea, and we’d sit and talk about our day, or her driving me to dancing or softball practice almost every day. I have always felt loved, heard, and safe.
LINDA: What’s been your proudest moment as a mother to Grace so far?
One of my proudest moments as Grace’s mum has been watching her grow into such a confident, kind, and capable young woman. She has a strong sense of self and a beautiful way of connecting with others, which I see in everything she does—whether it’s in her career, her friendships, or simply how she carries herself. It’s not just about the big moments; it’s the little things too—the way she handles challenges, her humour, her generosity, and the joy she brings to those around her. Watching her become the woman she is today makes me proud every single day.
GRACE: What's the best piece of advice your mum's ever given you?
Don’t let anyone live rent free in your head.
LINDA: What was one of the funniest things that Grace has ever done?
There isn’t just one funny thing Grace has done—she’s always been that way. Ever since she was a little girl, she’s had a cheeky wit and a big smile that lights up the room. We always have fun together; it’s just part of her personality. Whether it’s her quick comebacks, playful sense of humour, or the way she can make any situation feel lighter, she brings so much laughter into our lives. Being around Grace means endless smiles, laughs, and that wonderful banter we’ve always shared.
GRACE: If you could describe your Mum in a word, what would it be?
Irreplaceable.
LINDA: What did Mother’s Day mean to you growing up as a child?
Growing up, Mother's Day was always a special time to show my Mum just how much we appreciated her. It was about spending quality time together, making her feel cherished and loved. When we were little, we would often make homemade cards, and I remember it being a day filled with laughter, family, and breakfast in bed. As I became older, I came to understand how much she did for our family and Mother’s Day became a way to acknowledge all the love, care and strength she gave us every single day.
Grace: What’s the best thing about your Mum?
There are so many wonderful things about Mum, but to me her kindness is something I really admire. She has the biggest heart out of anyone I know and will always think about others, how they feel and has always made me feel special and loved. Also, her hugs! There’s nothing quite like a hug from your mum no matter how old you are.
