Mother's Day 2025 | Sharon & Family

Sharon Hamilton, the dynamo CEO of Fella Hamilton, runs the iconic fashion label alongside her husband, David Hamilton. But outside of this stylish empire is a tight-knit family of incredible women—her radiant mother Mary & her two dynamic daughters, Toni & Dana.

This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating these beloved mothers and daughters, as well as the arrival of a new generation in the family. In the past year, both Dana and Toni became mothers themselves, welcoming two adorable baby boys into the world. That’s right, the next-generation Fella Hamilton fans in the making!

With a new generation on the scene, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what truly brings this family together: love, legacy, and strong family values.

SHARON: HOW WILL MOTHER'S DAY BE DIFFERENT THIS YEAR?

Mother’s Day this year will be very different, as it’s my first year as a grandmother. We’ll be celebrating with a dinner at our eldest daughter Toni’s house, with four generations together—it will be very special. Sadly, Fella will be missing this new-generation event, but she’ll certainly be on our minds.

mary: How many kids & grandkids are in your family tree?

I have four children—one of them, Sharon, even followed in my footsteps, having four children of her own. Altogether, they’ve blessed me with ten amazing grandchildren, and now some of them are giving me the ultimate gift: great-grandchildren!

SHARON: What are your fondest memories of when your children were young?

We loved taking the family to the snow and have such fond memories of the kids learning to ski. It was especially special for my parents, who were still skiing while my children were young—three generations skiing together.

MARY: What are your fondest memories of when your children were young?

My fondest memories from when my children were young include seeing their achievements at school, watching them play sports, and especially skiing with them, making those moments unforgettable!

SHARON: If you could describe your mum Mary in 3 words, what would it be & why?

Caring, loving, and talkative. She is always thinking of others, always wanting to help those in need. She’s a very friendly person, loves a good chat, and can strike up a conversation with anyone—never short of things to say!

MARY: What have been your proudest moments as a mum & grandmother?

Definitely the day I became a mother and welcomed my kids into the world! As a grandmother, my proudest moment was when my kids became parents themselves—nothing beats the joy of having my own adorable grandkids!

SHARON: How is your fashion style different from you mums?

Mum's all about classic, comfy clothes—she's a layering expert because she feels the cold! As for me, I love mixing contemporary with classic styles and am all about earthy tones. Meanwhile, mum can’t resist her signature blues and greens!

MARY: Do you & Sharon share a similar sense of style?

Sharon totally outshines me in the style department—she has such a great eye for detail.

SHARON: What is your favourite thing to do with your mum Mary?

I love sneaking off for a coffee with Mum—just the two of us—so I can really tune in and give her my full attention. With four kids, their partners, grandchildren, and of course our gorgeous dog Bella, family gatherings can get pretty loud! One-on-one chats with Mum can be a luxury, so I really cherish these moments with her.

DANA: If you could describe your mum Sharon in 3 words, what would it be?

Energetic, thoughtful, and hardworking—she's a powerhouse of kindness and drive!

TONI: If you could describe your mum Sharon in 3 words, what would it be?

Mum is the kind of woman who gives her all, so I’d have to say she’s generous, energetic, and determined.

DANA: If you could have something from your mum’s wardrobe, what would it be?

A beautiful classic black jacket that my grandmother Fella gave to my mother.

TONI: If you could have something from your mum’s wardrobe, what would it be?

The pink dress from Rachel Gilbert that she wore to Joel, my brother's wedding—it looked stunning on Mum!

DANA: What’s your favourite memory of growing up with Grandmother Mary?

Hitting the slopes at Mount Buller with the whole extended family—cousins, grandparents, and all. Nana and Papa would get us geared up for a day of skiing, and afterward, we’d all sit by the lodge together sharing stories!

TONI: What’s your favourite memory of growing up with Grandmother Mary?

Nana Mary was my number one fan at all my sporting events—she never missed one. She even took me all the way to Bendigo for a table tennis tournament and stayed overnight. She was my ultimate cheerleader!

DANA: What's been the best thing about being a new mum?

The best thing about being a new mum is watching my little infant grow. Henry is now 7 months old, and we are all discovering his personality while seeing the joy he already brings to my extended family. This will be the first year celebrating Mother's Day with my son Henry, and it will be extra special now that I’m a mother.

TONI: What's been the best thing about being a new mum?

Growing a human inside my womb for nine months and then experiencing his birth—one of the best days of my life. Meeting Tommy, who is already 3 months old, and watching him grow and develop every day has been incredible. This Mother’s Day will be very exciting!
